Make Your Mark
In an Australian first, Bridges to Higher Education and the Universities Admissions Centre (NSW & ACT) have launched the Make Your Mark website.
The Hon. Marise Payne, Senator for Western Sydney helped to officially launch the Make Your Mark website at a ceremony at Merrylands High school on 7 April 2014.
The website has been developed to provide a launch pad to further education information and knowledge for people from under-represented communities, providing an online bridge to the range of resources already available for making life and further education choices and decisions.
The primary audiences are high school and TAFE students from Year 7 upwards and potential returners to education. The secondary audience is the 'Trusted Advisor' including Career Advisors and parents.
The website incorporates multimedia content to showcase students' stories as role models and advisors through the visitor's journey, emphasizing alternative pathways as well as traditional routes.
Providing a one-stop-shop for information to inform early stage decision making about further education, The Make Your Mark website compliments and supports the significant on-the-ground work the universities are undertaking in partnership with schools and communities.
Make Your Mark is an initiative of UAC and Bridges to Higher Education, a partnership of Western Sydney University, the University of Sydney, the University of Technology, Sydney, Macquarie University and the Australian Catholic University.
